Medical Gloves - Boon in the Field Of Medicine

Medical gloves are those gloves which are worn by the surgeons in order to protect the patients as well as themselves while checking the patients or while performing a surgery. Medical gloves are very beneficial for the surgeons as so many germs and diseases can be transmitted from the patient to the surgeon if the gloves are not been worn.

Medical gloves prevent the direct contact between the doctor, his staff and the patients as well so that no diseases are transmitted among themselves. The doctors can also be infected with various communicable diseases if they don’t wear the gloves. Various bacteria as well as virus can be easily transferred the patient to an healthy adult if he directly comes into contact with patient’s wounds, body parts and so on. It will lead to puss-filled pimples as well as outbreak of other diseases which can also result in severe heart attacks, impotency in the healthy human beings, failure of organs like kidney, lungs and so on. If a healthy surgeon touches the patient with these symptoms, the patient is more likely to be affected as he might have exposed and open wounds, open nostrils as well as other problems so he will be more prone to getting infected.

Another benefit of using medical glove is the prevention of diseases from one patient to another. If a doctor or a surgeon uses the medical gloves he will ultimately prevent the transmission of bacteria and virus from one patient to another as the patients with similar medical problems are kept in the same wards so it will directly lead to the increment and passage of diseases. Medical gloves are disposable and they can be used only once by the doctors so they will prevent the passage of germs amongst the patients as no single pair of gloves will come into contact between two or more patients. It also leads to prevention of re infecting the already infected patients.

These gloves not only prevent the passage and spreading of staphy virus’s from one patient to another but also virus’s which can be transferred by the use of material objects as well as through the human skin. Usage of a fresh pair of gloves every time when a new patient comes into contact with the doctors is the most important precaution that each doctor must follow in order to protect themselves as well as the patients.
